That's what I thought, and why I didn't (don't) understand how it's possible to get two stops a week in length out of one ticket. When I was initially on the phone getting my tickets I asked the agent to try to get me a day stopover somewhere. She said no-go. She wasn't very friendly to begin with though.
I may just use some miles to get a few days in HKG or BKK.
