So, yes, by experience, it's a VERY tight connection. I'm assuming you're on flight 400 leaving YYZ. Try getting on 480 which leaves at 6:30am... 30 minutes will definitely make a difference. A 5 to 10 minute delay on AC400 will be enough to bust your connection (I've seen cnx busted with a 3 minute delay...).
And btw, I checked the loads on YYZ-RSW... doesn't look that great. So other options for you to get to Florida would be AC920 to TPA at 1520, and 2 FLL flights which look pretty decent. Good luck!

I would argue that while the cnx is tight, it is doable. The real variable is the length of time it takes to get your bags off the cnx belt. If they come quickly, you get through the whole process in no time as there is a US INS priority line for pax cnxing. It's the belt that is the most time-consuming wait and even a patient man like me can start getting edgy...
The other problem is the long walks to the gate post-security. But, there are golf carts, so you could in theory flag one down if you're running late...
