How many in the group are you? I think the most amazing thing about Puerto Vallarta are the fabulous private villas all over town. A group of friends and I rented this one for a week:

The views were absolutely breathtaking, and the clubs/bars/beach was just 5 minutes away in a taxi. The staff made the most amazing food for us every day. (Fully cooked breakfast spread, fresh guacamole & margaritas in the afternoon, and an amazing dinner feast at night). They also collect a list of everything you want purchased from the grocery & liquor stores that day. We always had a fully stocked bar and fridge at all times! ^

There were 7 of us in the villa, and the rooms are enormous. Each room is a fully contained suite with outdoor terrace. They are each very private. Also, the pool and jacuzzi were fantastic.

I really can't speak enough praises about our vacation there. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.
