I agree a lot with the above poster on the pros and cons of KE vs NW, but there is one BIG DIFFERENCE -- KE coded/operated flights MAY NOT earn the same EQMs and banked miles into your NW WP account. Note the changes below!!

For earning into NW WP accoutn when flying KE:

Earning Banked Miles
100% of actual miles flown (500-mile minimum): P, F, C, Z, W, Y, R, E, K, T, M, H, L
80% of actual miles flown: G
70% of actual miles flown: B, Q, V, X
50% mileage bonus for First Class travel.
25% mileage bonus for Business Class travel.
Classes not valid for accrual: N

Elite Qualifying Korean Air Fare Classes on Korean-coded, Korean-operated
Elite Qualifying Miles at 150%: P, F, Y, M
Elite Qualifying Miles at 125%: J, C
