DL Marketing--Who to contact

To all,

The reason why I do most of my flying is for bicycle racing. I'm not quite a professional (I have a real job too), but I am trying to make the 2004 Olympic team.

Anyway the real reason why I am writing this is because Delta (and most other airlines) have a $75-90 (each way) charge for bicycles on domestic flights (Int'l is waved due to wordong in Warsaw Pact, I believe).

In order to avoid this great expense, I have lied and said that my (black canvas, about 5% larger than a normal full size bag) is a trade show display. This has worked 100% on Delta this year. Normally I check in with the Skycap, but occasionally I check in at the Medallion desk.

Anyway, my fear is with bag inspections on the horizon that this will no longer work. I am contemplating writing DL to ask for a "sponsorship" where mybike bag cold be noted in my PNR as a piece of checked luggage.

Does anyone know who the person at DL would be to contact, to request that this charged be waived?

Thanks much....
