It's bit odd. I thought I'd check the lengths in the pictures and compare them to the true lengths of the A300 and 777, to see if I could enlighten myself as to the relative distances. So step 1 was to look up what version of the A300 DHL owns. Well, planespotters.net says DHL doesn't own _any_ A300 aircraft, and haven't since 2003. So I am confused. Is this actually a very old picture? There's no actual date in the sky news photo sequence that I could find. The text refers to a game at Upton Park Stadium including the team "West Ham". Such a game did take place Saturday, January 28. But Upton Park Stadium is West Ham's home field, so they play there many Saturdays.
Does anyone know if DHL: has recently taken ownership of one or more A300s? I'd be surprised they managed to slip that past planespotters.net.
