Interesting about Vegas.... the hike is no worse than the time it takes to get to the North or South Sattelites gates at SEA where AS operates some QX/AS flights.
Once in Vegas, I called ahead to find out my flight was over 3 hours delayed, so naturally, I stayed on The Strip with my friends for a couple more hours. I later went to the airport, arriving about an hour before the delayed flight time, and I get severely hassled at the check-in counter for not being checked in, saying I had to be checked in 45 minutes before the ORIGINAL flight time. I argued that made no sense whatsoever, but she said I was lucky they didn't give away my F seat (full flight). After some back and forth, she finally printed my boarding pass. So what gives? Is there really a policy that requires check-in 30/45 minutes before the original scheduled time? If so.... why? I would've done OLCI, but the Craps table didn't have a AS Kiosk!
I was still in a good mood even with the delay and hassle.... that extra couple hours netted me an additional $800!
