I am located in Greece and anytime I need to call a US-toll free number I dial instead of 800, the number 1-880- and then the rest. You will then get a message than you will be charged at international dialling rates.

Recently I started using skype (www.skype.com) for those 800 numbers, as you can call US-toll free numbers for free from you PC.
