That's right . . . it is not a circle trip since A to B is flown, B to C is taken by train, and C back to A is flown.

Also, further discussions with DL reveal that it is not the mileage that is the problem. The problem is that the two cities involved are not on the "routing" with the origination city.

I am trying to set up GNV to STL and return from AUS to GNV. According to DL, STL and AUS are not on the GNV routing and thus get treated as point to point. This is most interesting since Killeen, TX (50 miles away) is on the routing and DFW is also OK to do. Just not Austin . . .
