Ideally I wouldn't stay too close to Termini in Rome, but my husband and I are travelling to Italy in July, and probably will stay four nights in Rome. As we will be arriving by train from the south, and prefer to take the train to FCO the Radisson SAS Es is attractive: a bit overdesigned perhaps, but an acceptable rate (E175/185) and looking very "cool". The rooftop pool has also something going for it, and the EB points are attractive for a Scandinavian!
Does anybody have any experience with this hotel? Is it as gay-friendly as an "über-designed" hotel, run by a northern European chain could be presumed to be?
An alternative for us if we stray away from the Termini area are the Capo d'Africa or the Visconti Palace. Stayed at the latter ten years ago before the redesign, and liked the location. Any commets on these would also be appreciated!
