The good news is that you got the info you were seeking so you should be set for your summer trip.

But - a search on this forum would have brought up recent info for both the Amsterdam Hilton and the Airport Hilton.

And I'm a bit confused on how you were confused on there being an airport Hilton.

Besides the threads on this forum, the Hilton website when typing in Amsterdam Netherlands brings up 3 hotels (2 in Amsterdam area & one in another city in the Netherlands). The Hilton 800# asks if you want to stay near the airport or in the city, confirming that there are 2 Hiltons in Amsterdam. TripAdvisor brings up reports on both the Airport Hilton & the Amsterdam Hilton. I just checked now out of curiosity & had no problem discovering there were 2 Hiltons in Amsterdam.

Since you are new to FT, it's FT 'etiquette' when looking for information to do a search first & then, if your question isn't answered or the information is old, to start a new thread. It helps save the time of your fellow FTers in providing info that's already been provided. Obviously that's not always followed or we wouldn't have a gazillion threads on London , but it's preferred. Also lecturing FTers when they're trying to help you isn't usually appreciated.

Enjoy your stay in Amsterdam whichever Hilton you choose. And don't forget to post a Trip Report in the Hilton forum after your stay so that other FTers will get recent info on the hotel when they're looking for information as well.
