Talk to my employer. The policy is that laundry expenses are only reimbursed beyond the 7th day. The interpretation is that I must carry at least 7 days' worth of clothing on a long trip. I suppose I could have tried to cram that much clothing in my carry-on, along with my laptop, Bose headphones, business papers and toiletry kit (at my age, it takes alot of stuff to help me look good. )

But then, there wouldn't have been any room for all those bottles of fine NZ Pinot Noir I brought back. ^
