Ticket number is a 13-digit number starting with "016" on the bottom of your ticket, under "document number". K8M296 is your record locator or reservation number.

You need the actual BP, paper ticket, e-ticket confirmation or e-receipt to get the ticket number.

Or you can also look it up on your credit card statement. It usually posts on the description along with the amount of the charge.

And it should also be on the confirmation and e-receipt you receive via email from United.
