I have to agree. Immigration officials are typically friendly.. now customs officials... I am a goverment employee, and Customs used to "ramdomly" select me for additional checks 100% of my returns to the USA before 9/11. After 9/11 they do it 50% of the times. I used to feel the need to include my work ID with my passport when I came back.... I specially enjoyed the manual searches of my bags.... But crossing the border from Canada was more fun... when the official asked my name with my passport on his hands.
