No worries, Nick, and yeah, it IS nice you will earn 100% EQMs (Elite-Qualifying Miles, also not-so-jokingly called "butt-in-seat" miles around here) on an N fare. AA flights earn variable Elite-Qualifying Points - good for a Challenge (short-cut to elite status) or if you fly high fares usually, but not much else; most AA flights earn from 0.5 EQP per EQM on deeply discount fares, to 1.5 EQP per EQM on full-fare coach to First fares.

Stick around, and you can learn a lot - and join our chorus. Our songs include

"Have You Tried Search?"

"Check Out The Stickies!" and

"Have You Checked aa.com?"

Our mantras include

"If you don't like what they tell you, call back..." and

"YMMV!" (Your Mileage May Vary)

I forgot "Ommm, did my upgrade come through?"
