Didn't bring the laptop on my trip there and don't remember whether the safe would hold a laptop. Also, obviously search this forum and tripadvisor for reviews. I found the hotel to have a fantanstic locale (right at circular quay for ferries, close to Rocks, the SH Bridge and Opera House and great location to walk around the CBD). It was pretty nice and rated a 5 * by many. In my opinion (two stays) it's a strong 4 *. Our second trip there we had an opera house view (some have bridge views as well) - while these cost much more, I didn't think it was worth it. There are many small breakfast, 7-11 types stores in the area (think CBD of any large city). Feel free to ask other Q's.
