Ok-I'm going out on a limb here and assuming that you'll be going in the summer. if not, let me know.

I have been told my numerous women thatClarks are really comfortable.

Dansko's are also super comfy. They also come in some different styles. I have a pair of this brand in another style and use them when I am working trade shows when I am on my feet for 14+ hours.

Hush Puppies are also very comfy. Note that these come in some fun colors.

Ecco's also are comfortable, but are bording on the "sloppy" style that I was trying to stay away from. Kind reminds me of the weird librarian that my elementary school used to have. Not that that is a bad thing...

I tried to stay under $100USD on these examples. With some of the shoes, there is a slight stacked heel (under 2") in a wedge which is very manageable for walking. All of them have great arch support and cushion and look trendy enough to wear with a skirt to dinner, or with shorts. All of them are open toe with a back strap and closure. Let me know if you want me to go looking for more at other stores. Nordstrom to me is like breathing, so that's the only reason why I used their website. You will have a more pleasant walking experiance if you don't go with just a slide, but actually go with something with a strap. If fitted properly, none of these should do that clacking thing on your heel when you walk that can lead to shin splints.
