My nail clippers were confiscated in Tampa (home airport) several weeks ago. When I produced the FAA printout (from their website) the Argenbrit security supervisor said it didn't matter. I asked to see the Delta supervisor. He told me that each airport was allowed to "tighten the rules to their own discretion". During this same "check" my small box cutter that was in my pencil pouch in my briefcase made it through! (both radar and visual inspection!)

I asked the security guy what they did with all the stuff they confiscated and I was told " we donate it to charity".
