Hey,

When my family first came to visit Canada the winter before moving, it was brutal. -16C tempreatures and tons of snow. We thought we would never survive. However as soon as we moved, and we had our first winter as residents, the coldness became much more bearable. We got to go skiing, skating on lakes ( it was amazing ) and it really made us feel "Canadian."

Another great thing about the winter here is that the weather is usually pleasant (bright and sunny) even if it is very cold, unlike London, where it is quite rainy and cloudy most of the time.
