I usually have not-so friendly experiences at customs, particulary in LAX. The airline forgot to give me a declarations form on board, waited in line, the customs guy wrote some note, made me go through again. Not so friendly of all the times Ive passed through. However, once I passed immigration, and too the agricultural screening, I managed to get some really nice folks, they were smiling, making jokes, and just friendly, this batch of workers seemed to have more "trust" in you than most others.
But I hate going through immigration. I wish those with US passports can just clear while on board, or through some self serve kiosks at the aiport, with some sort of recogniton system.. fingerprint, etc. On a second note, I dont think Im read for the govt to have my fingerprints just yet.
