As far as US immigration is concerned, I would rate rate their politeness/friendliness as follows:
MIA: great
WAS: ok
MSP: ok
NYC: hit or miss - JFK tends to be better than EWR
LAX/CLT: not so ok... CLT, NC was worst, but still it did not felt personal
