I'm glad you started this thread umguy. ^ As someone who may be looking to travel to the heartland, I am most interested to read what opinions the locals may have about this recent movie that is of relevance to GLBT travelers to Cowboy-Land. Always helpful to be aware of the local culture while travelling, especially as a GLBT traveler, where local sensitivites are of particular importance.

Does anyone have any tips from recent travels to the heartland, and perhaps experiences of interactions with the local cowboys. Mmmmmm.

P.S.: Where can one buy a decent pair of chaps and a saddle that can be carried around easily while travelling? Perhaps a folding version...

P.P.S.: For those worried about the relevance of this post, the word "travel" (or one of it's variants) was used 5 times, while "GLBT" made an appearance twice.
