It looks like an airline in trouble that is doing the best that it can. The staff is well-groomed and courteous. Clean, and better than sitting at the gate.

It's located just down the escalator from the duty-free shops that are adjacent to gate D91. UA and AC were loading from D93 with NH staff.
NH an airline in trouble? Are you serious? They made money last year. Now UA at - $21 billion for FY2005, that's an airline in trouble. The lounge is indeed basic/bordering on dour, but I would suggest that's more to do with Japanese tastes than any financial imperative...
