Let's compare:
Singapore:
Nice bars such as Tantric, Backstage and Moxx, and discos such as Taboo and Happy full of professional, fluent English speaking cute guys of all races and ages. Also: saunas (17, Towel Club) with similar crowd
Bangkok:
Bars such as Telephone Bar and Balcony, and discos such as DJstation, full of older Westerners in search of the abundant Thai boys most of whom at least LOOK underage, who can speak only a few words of English ("where are you flom?") and are looking to make a few baht that night. Also: sauna (Babylon) with a similar crowd though I must admit Babylon has a better crowd than the bars
I could not agree more. If you are decent looking you will have absolutely no problems with connecting locals who are NOT looking for your $$'s.
The Backstage seemed to attract a bit older folk than the Tantric. I probably wouldn't go to Backstage before 10PM and to Tantric before 11PM.
The TowelClub is full of very fit Singaporeans and has the darkest steam room where I have ever been. Also the meditation rooms can be fun too!
