Wow. That sounds brutal. Worst of all - it doesn't sound like a totally isolated oddball problem. It sounds like some very fundamental, systematic issues at the hotel.
I'm headed to PVR in April, and (thankfully) have two award rooms booked for the Westin with confirmed upgrades to the Royal Beach Club level. (Paying $40/room/nt. for those confirmed upgrades - I hope it's worth it.) Part of me would really like to be heading down the coast to one of the Luxury Collection props, but from reading the reviews it sounds like the Westin might actually be better for us as a family spot. Besides, fewer Starpoints and no need for a rental car.
