Driving down the NJ Turnpike about an hour ago. I see a KLM widebody coming in for a landing. I am looking and saying to myself "That plane is coming in way too high." As I get closer, as well as the plane heading north towards me, the plane descends repidly over the runway. Few seconds later it was like 1/4 down the runway. I thought it was going to crash. It never slowed its descent, slams into the runway, bounces and goes to full throttle and aborts. The plane was a brand new KLM. Not sure what is was, but def not the 757 they used to fly into EWR, much larger widebody. I have been in and seen hard landings, but this may have literaly cracked the asphalt.
