I got an offer for 5000 miles for a free consultation. I set up an appointment and didn't have to do any paperwork. The guy made a note of my skymiles number.

He offered the plan for $750 as a first step which I didn't go through. About 3 weeks later 3000 miles posted to my account and I called Amex and they posted an additional 2000 miles.

Anout 6 weeks after my appointment I got a package from Amex with paperwork to take to my appt which I discarded!!

P.S: I know of others who only spent $300 for the plan, it really depends on the advisor and how hungry they are for business.
