But by using the JFK-FRA flight which continues on to BOM, one would need to get off the plane in FRA, go through customs and immigration, and then go the DL check-in and check in from scratch. The plane is on the ground in FRA for slightly less than 2 hours.
And you probably would have to claim any checked luggage and check it in again. Could be dicey, timewise.
