Protection if Flight Using Skymiles Cancelled
I realize the airlines have an obligation to protect you on another carrier if your flight is cancelled for mechanical etc.
What is Delta's obligation when you're flying on Skymiles.
We are flying out of BUF to Aruba, connecting through ATL on Nov. 30th. For the past 2 days our originating flight out of BUF has been cancelled, the 1st day for mechanical, the 2nd for lack of a flight crew. Delta would have no other flight leaving BUF the same day which would get us into Aruba. I asked the Delta agent on the phone what happens in these cases and was told that for mechanical they will protect on another carrier but not for lack of a flight crew which I thought odd. Anyone have any light they can shed on this?
