Even if you don't stay at the Victoria Falls Hotel, a walk through the hotel and afternoon tea on the patio outside viewing the falls is a MUST!!! When we showed up with our backpacks several years ago, they offered us a room for US $80, but we were in a hurry to go home to Harare. (Had stayed at the shoestrings hostel for $10 for two nights!)

I thought the booze cruise was quite nice, not much in terms of animals but a beautiful sunset. Don't know what the situation is now, but lots of small bills in US$ is a must in Zimbabwe.

Be sure to view the falls from both the Zimbabwe and Zambian sides.

Real shame what's happening with the political situation in Zimbabwe- beautiful country, nice people.
