I do not think so. I registered by phone at the start of the promo. My bonus posted at the same time the flight posted both 31 OCT and 04 NOV (which were my first travel on DL during the promo period).
I would guess that the issue is elapsed time from date of registration. i.e. it takes 4-6 weeks for the system to be informed you are registered. After that occurs, postings are immediate.
It would appear Delta has actually improved the process. During the Anniversary promotion, Anniversary line item postings did not appear until there was subsequent activity in the account. DOUBLE MILES Promotion line items are posting with the actual flight.
