While we are on the subject of travelling to Hawaii, I have a quick question that I hope one of the experienced US Air flyers can answer.

I'm flying on United to Honolulu this weekend in Economy and would dearly like to be upgraded if possible. How does this work for a US Air (Star Alliance) member? I am Gold Preferred on US Air. Can I put myself on a standby list with United?
