why did DL not purchase 777's with the intent of flying trans-pac with them? CO seems to be having no problem using theirs on NRT and HKG, AA uses them as well.

sounds to me like the same short sighted planning for the pacific as the PDX hub and the MD-11's without the range to fly LAX-HKG nonstop consistently. small wonder DL continues to be a bit player in the pacific...
