Amazing! I was justing talking with my father about DL747's yesterday. He mentioned that he and my mother took a flight from Chicago to Miami on one back in the early 70's. Remember, back in the days before deregulation (where govt. subsidies helped if a route was unprofitable), most routes had to be applied for through the Civil Aeronautics Board. Delta and Eastern had a lock on the ORD/MIA route back then. Must have been something to see a DL 747! I'd love to see a 744 in the new DL colors. The only problem is that if they had one, they'd probably fly it packed with leisure travelers from ATL to MCO...
