DO NOT WASTE UR MILES on flying to Hawaii on America West Metal.

You will be very un happy with the service due to the OLD "historic" 757-200 that are currently on these route(s).

If you choose not to take the above advise AND you disagree with this message, please post a reply.

Sad to say... but its honest.
Can you please stop this diatribe re: US 757s to Hawaii?! While I agree HP 757 is not the best choice, leave this battle on the correct thread.
BTW, everyone knows the 757s are old. The main issue with the service to Hawaii is the range restrictions (pax kicked off planes for weight issues) which, I'm sure an intelligent contributor as yourself knows, are NOT relevant in the summer months (when the OP is plannig to fly there) > 1. Winds are much lighter, 2. Loads are lighter as people have nice weather in their home cities.

OP, When I travel for leisure it's always about two things :
1. What am I going to?
2. What am I gettign away from?

I've been to Hawaii a couple of times when it's freezing here and beautiful there (mid-Feb both times). May I ask, Why would anyone spend all the money and time to go to Hawaii when it's likely to be just as nice or nicer where you live in June? Just curious - I have never understood some people's choice when travelling to FLA or Hawaii ... For me, my "sunny travel" dates are Oct 15th - Mar 31st.
