I'm suprised the the 9's are still on the DTW-DFW runs, as well as some of the DTW - South Florida. Only a handful of the -30's had the extra fuel tanks and who knows if those ships are still flying. The oddball FNT and GRR - Florida flights are also DC9-30's and are often severely weight restricted or make frequent scheduled fuel stops along the way - Knoxville seems to be the most popular stop on the way.

At 7am on my last trip through GRR, I walked by the gate for MCO which was scheduled for a 3:30pm or so departure. The display stated that they were asking for volunteers. I asked the agent working our flight what the deal was and he said that it was restricted to 75 and it was booked almost full.
