I stayed at an Embassy Suites continously (didnt check out at all just paid bill every month) on long term business for 2.5 years (ended OCT 05) and traveled at least 1 week a month and typically stayed at another Hilton property and only had trouble with points not crediting 2 (they removed the credit for the long term stay during that time period) out of approx 35 to 40 overlapping stays. I called the Diamond desk on both occasions and fixed the problem. One of the times the person entering the info didnt do it because they said I couldnt be at both places at the same time, I agreed and said that would be defying physics, but was there anything in the rules about paying to stay somewhere and not being there, she said no so they credited my account . You accrue points stays etc from both with no limitations other than 100,000 base points per stay limit.
