I haven't heard of CX running 2-class HKG-YVR but fwiw YYZ-HKG went to 2-class some time ago so there is ample precedent. The few times I've flown YVR-HKG F has not been full except with op-ups so it would make some sense to have more J capacity on this route. The JFK-YVR-HKG routing is definitely still with F.
