OK here is the latest. I spent all day on the phone to US Airways and United. I tried the thing Bob said. I looked on United with my MP account number. It says there is availiability out on the 11th June and back 19th June. I call US and they say I can get to HNL but not back, that it is not availiable. I said United said alot of availiability and they say sorry. I finally get mad after 2 hours of on the phone and of with both US and UNited. Finally I ask to speak with a supervisor. He said I am confirmed on the LAX to HNL but am on the waiting list for HNL-LAX. He said give 24 hours and check back because they are awaiting "permission or conformation" from United.
My question is this. Is this normal? To give one segment but wait for the next? Does waiting the 24 hours usually result in the confirmation? As I said the reservationist at United said there were PLENTY of seat on the HNL-LAX and she didnt understand why US couldnt process it. She even called the United help desk. I am just frustrated and hope I can get to and from HNL. I will have to make my way to LAX but shouldnt be a problem. (dont even get me started on that try) Thanks in advance for any posts.
