Fair enough... I guess I have to rest my case (except that the FA was clearly talking nonsense when he said "illegal" - "against company rules" I could have accepted). However, maybe this was a linguistic thing - his English was pretty poor (and guess which FA got picked to make the safety announcements???)

Maybe Ryanair's company policy ought to be revised, though, to take account of the fact that take-away coffee now comes in spillage-proof cups...
