I believe that a platinum companion gets the plat's status for battlefield purposes. But I'm not sure if a gold companion gets the gold's status or if he comes after a solo silver.
Thanks... actually, what I meant to say was

In a particular situation, a Platinum and a base are NOT upgraded at EUA -- I know they are eligible, but I was just referring to an instance in which R seats were NOT available.... and the EUA did NOT process...

You answered my question regarding battlefield.. which was what I was trying to get at... since I take a number of trips w/ 1 companion child... I prefer to be sitting together in coach premium seats than just 1 upgraded... I was just wondering about the priority for battlefield in these instances.
