Thank you for suggestion.
1. As for the skywards miles, he has about 8000 miles as he had upgraded few sectors last year. But his family members have sufficient miles so that if he could transfer the miles to his a/c he could get an upgrade for, say, lhr-dxb sector. But I don't know if EK allows transfer of miles between a/c
2. So if he wants to fly on J on dxb-maa-dxb, then can he book the ticket online for that sector on EK website? or should he go through travel agent only?
3. one more question:
yyz-lhr-yyz on AC website costs about $670 incl. taxes. (Y class)
lhr-dxb-maa-dxb-lhr costs about $800 incl. taxes on EK website. (Y class)
That comes to a total of $1470 incl. taxes as opposed to a $1700 for ex-yyz.
3a) Is it possible to book two separate tickets as mentioned above.
3b) If so, will there be a need of visa for UK (someone working in an airline said that he needs a visa for Uk as those are two separate tickets and as the first ticket terminates at lhr).
FYI, he is still a PR.
Thanks.
