Not at all. For example, on the 737 fleet, the previous F cabin seats were grey leather, much more square and felt wider. Same seats in domestic F on the 757s and 727s (God rest their souls). Even the first Airbus aircraft delivered had different F seats than they do now.

The 777s originally came fitted with different C and F seats as well. They underwent cabin upgrades with just a couple years under their belt. For examples, see:
