I have often wondered what happens to the seats when they are replaced. If UA replaces the current C seats with "Spacebeds" what happens to the old seats? Could they be used for new PS routes? Or, are they sent to the landfill.
I remember transport canada made a HUGE fuss over airplane seats with AC being distrubted. Their fear was that those seats would be installed on cars. Old seats are sometimes disected for parts but predominately destroyed.
