I had already planned out to make some 8-10 trips in the next few weeks to Boston for this purpose.

But now that it's limited.. no more travel to Boston than usual (which is about once every 2 months)

If the triple offer had been unlimited, you can do the following math:
1 RT is $180-$200. Let's say $200. As MVP Gold it nets you 20k miles.

Now, a free BIZ class trip to Europe on AA is 90k miles, i.e. 4.5 RT's to boston. 4.5 RT's to boston would cost $900.

So for $900 I'd get:
-- 4.5 RT's to Boston
-- 1 roundtrip to Europe in Business Class

The latter alone has a retail value of $4,000-7,000...

Therefore, I can see that they limited this promotion to only 4 segments
