The DIRECT over YOW is not a bad flight going West as it leaves at the end of the workday and gets you in the night before for a good rest. To go East take the 17:20 out of YEG and connect to the last flight YYZ-YUL. Watch out for schedule changes on this flight as AC sometimes forget to allow for the YUL connection.

I commuted weekly from YEG to YUL for 6 years. It is not bad as long as you avoid YYZ and YYC as much as possible.

Thought I was going crazy there for a minute! Thanks for the clarification on Non-Stop service.
