Why?

If I ran AC, I'd improve the benefits only if I saw a decrease in revenue from Es. Sure, there's been lots of talk here about Es taking their business to other airlines. If they do, AC will adjust the benefits. If they don't, AC won't.

By the way, they have to love me. I gave them about $13k of business last year. They eliminated my SSWUs at 45k and gave me a choice between 5k Q miles or two SSWUs for 2006. I was disappointed, but I'll be spending about the same amount with them in 2006 and flying about the same distance.

As Ian Tyson says, "Now who's the bigger son of a gun, the little coyote or me?"

Editted to add: If you listen to the whole song, "The coyote is a survivor ..."
