The town of Victoria Falls is small - VERY small - INCREDIBLY small. Stay at either the Victoria Falls Hotel (great views - grand old hotel- can be pricey) or The Kingdom (if Disney had a resort at Vic Falls, this would be it - theme restaurants, casino in the lobby, etc). For a lower priced option, the Rainbow Mercure is pretty decent. Don't stay out of the town or you will be stuck. You will need a driver to go anywhere. You will almost be forced into the tours, etc that the hotel or lodge is promoting. You can literally walk to the falls in 4-5 minutes from the Victoria Falls Hotel and The Kingdom, and in about 10 minutes from the Mercure.
