You didn't have to "shuttle" between the RCC and the gate.. it was your preference to wait in the RCC. The GA usually arrives at the departure gate about an hour before the flight leaves. What's so difficult? If the RCC agent couldn't do anything, then the GA will fix it. I don't understand what the problem is with the matrons.
