One of the finest resorts we've stayed at in the Caribbean is The Horned Dorset located on the NW coast of Puerto Rico. The room we had was right on the water, our balcony hung over the water and we had breakfast served there daily. The restaurant is one of the best in all of Puerto Rico. They don't allow children so no rug rats. Big lounge chairs made from materials other than plastic or cheap metal (I find that many Luxury resorts skimp on the lounge chairs around the pool). If you want more than just lounging around, there are also many other activities to do. The nice thing about Puerto Rico is that you can go to a local family restaurant, listen to some great music, and actually interact w/the locals if you wish which is not the easiest to do on other islands.

To maximize your time, Puerto Rico has direct flights from many US cities, NO customs to go through (both going/coming), US dollar is used, easy to get around the island (interisland flights or rent a car).
Thanks. It looks great but may be a bit pricey. Do you know if they have any all inclusive deals?
